JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Engineering-Body, Part-Time Student will engage in a variety of work experiences applying their theoretical knowledge to real world business challenges. This role will typically support one or more experienced engineers completing moderately complex tasks in a production and / or production design engineering environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support team mates on current and future engineering projects as assigned
- Assist / lead troubleshooting production challenges / improvement opportunities with minimal supervision
- Support Design Engineers with CAD & drawing accuracy and manufacturability
- Complete basic engineering tasks related to product design, analysis, testing, integration and systems engineering
- Under the supervision of an experienced engineer, perform analysis on existing products; assist in the design and development of future products; perform analysis on both completed and future launches; and conduct quality assurance on system safety, launch and production operations
- Engage in projects and / or studies that promote continuous improvement and operational efficiency
- Showcase learnings obtained during the internship program by presenting outcomes of key projects to members of the Engineering leadership team and / or members of Blue Bird’s Executive Leadership Team
