What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Administrator position at Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare?
We are seeking a Contract Administrator to manage contract relationships with payers, health plans, vendors, professional providers, and contractors.
Competitive Pay: Range between $50,000 - $70,000/annual, pay is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining positive relationships with external contract representatives
- Facilitating contract review, negotiation of terms, and strategic positioning
- Problem-solving any hiccups in implementation of contracts
- Establishing internal monitoring and data gathering
- Be the internal expert on contract content
- Maintaining managed care plan operating policies and systems
- Measuring and analyzing managed care performance metrics, identifying opportunities and initiatives for improvement
- Developing internal procedures and educating our staff on contract requirements
- Coordinating the review of all agency contracts and agreements
What we are looking for: The ideal candidate will be personable, enjoy new challenges, and be motivated to make sure things are done correctly. The successful candidate will know the performance measurement standards well and be able to analyze BRBH's data, see trends, and provide recommended internal plans for ensuring positive performance results.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required. Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare, or related degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in managed care and contract negotiations or comparable work experience.
- Driving Record: Candidates must have a good driving record (no more than two moving violations in the last three years AND no criminal violations in the last five years).
- Criminal Background Check: Candidates are required to complete a fingerprint background check and drug screen.
