The Solutions Engineer (SE) reports to the Director, Enterprise Solutions and is the key technical resource and Subject Matter Expert for the development of the overall architectural strategy of software and systems across the enterprise. The SE leads the design, development, integration, and implementation of technology solutions by developing and executing the tactics and techniques required to realize the strategic vision of integrated enterprise technology solutions.

This role collaborates cross-functionally with:

• Business Stakeholders to identify business requirements.
• Software Engineers and Vendors on design and development.
• Enterprise Data Architect to coordinate data stores.
• Information Security Team to ensure safe and secure system operations.
• Infrastructure and Support Team to ensure proper positioning, deployments, and support.

Success in this role is defined by partnering with stakeholders to identify business requirements, developing systems and solutions to meet those needs, ensuring the solutions are deployed safely, and operate reliably and securely - all while ensuring that each solution fits into the overall strategic vision of software and systems architecture.

What You’ll Do:

• Work closely with the Director, Enterprise Solutions to develop and execute the overall enterprise strategic vision for software, systems, and integrations.
• Provide thought leadership on modern development, deployment and system integration methodologies, tools and techniques.
• Roll-up your sleeves and perform a heavily hands-on role identifying, programming, integrating, testing and deploying solutions.
• Manage end-to-end business requirements gathering, vendor and software evaluations, solution selection, project planning, programming, testing, integration, and deployment.
• Guide the delivery of cost-effective, reliable, scalable, sustainable, secure, and high-performance technology capabilities.
• Identify duplicative or redundant solutions and recommend solutions to either replace or combine functionality into single or more streamlined solutions.
• Design and maintain the testing, staging, and production environments for the IFS ERP system and integrated 3rd-party modules.
• Manage software release and version updates.
• Practice self-leadership and promote learning in others by soliciting and acting on performance feedback.
• Establish collaborative, cross-functional relationships and communicate information and provide advice to drive enterprise solution decisions forward.
• Adapt to competing demands and new responsibilities, providing feedback to others, including upward feedback to leadership.
• Influence, mentor and coach team members, and foster open dialogue amongst team members.

Must Haves:

• Demonstrated leader capable of partnering and leading business and technology colleagues in establishing a best practice process for software solution evaluation, selection and deployment.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated success designing and delivering enterprise-level solution architectural roadmaps.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in solutions engineering and creating integrations between software and database applications.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working with ERP systems and ancillary system modules, both imbedded and 3rd party.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, including Active Directory, Single Sign-On, services, architecture, infrastructure options, storage, and overall capabilities.
• Experience designing automations and workflows.
• Extensive knowledge of SDLC.
• Experience with scripting languages and coding, such as PowerShell and Python.
• Experience with relational databases and related tools, such as Oracle DB, Microsoft SQL and MySQL.
• Experience in data transfer methods and formats, such as APIs, XML, JSON, CSV, etc.

Nice-to-Haves:

• 2 years of experience in EPC construction and the renewable energy sector.
• Experience with IFS ERP, Salesforce, Boomi, HCSS, ADP.
• Agile project management experience.
• Experience with ETL process development.
• Experience with mobile solutions and applications.
• Experience with vendor management.

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
