About the position:
The Driver Helper will effectively and efficiently assist the Driver in delivering products to the customer site(s). This role will support the driver to ensure safety, quality assurance, and accuracy by audit of inventory for the products being delivered.
Responsibilities:
- Delivery driver and/or stocker
- Operate company provided truck in accordance with company safety policies
- Deliver customer orders to place of business within established time frames
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with customers
- Ensures customer delivery questions are accurately answered
- Physically loading and unloading delivery trucks
- Maintain accurate inventory reports
Qualifications
Other Requirements:
- At least 3 years of driving history
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to report to Fremont HQ and have open availability
- Excellent driving and route mapping skills
- Ability to work safely and quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift, carry and maneuver items weighing up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license with a history of no more than one moving violation, no suspensions or at fault accidents within the last three years
- Neat and professional appearance required
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent maneuvering in and out of delivery truck
- Walking and climbing stairs on a frequent basis while carrying product
- Lifting, pushing, handling, and carrying product on a frequent basis
- Squatting, kneeling, stooping and bending while moving product
- Pushing, pulling and lifting of loaded and unloaded product bins in and out of truck cargo area
