Overview
Our Renewables Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled QA/QC Specialist who brings expertise in site work, GPS calibration, drone operations, and quality assurance for renewable energy projects. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to use advanced sitework software and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Blueprint Analysis: Interpret and analyze blueprints to ensure accurate understanding of site plans and specifications.
- Equipment Operation and Calibration:
- Operate Earthworks/JS900 GPS equipment for precision on-site machinery usage.
- Calibrate GPS systems on machinery for accurate site measurements and implementation.
- Drone Operations:
- Perform drone flights to capture topographical maps and create detailed aerial data.
- Use the Wingtra Drone for specific site operations (preferred qualification).
- Data Analysis:
- Develop and interpret heat maps and topographical maps, utilizing Propeller software and other relevant tools.
- Import/export files to machinery and ensure accurate Trimble system integration.
- Software and Systems:
- Proficiently operate Trimble software and equipment for GPS and topographical data.
- Utilize Propeller software for aerial data collection and analysis.
- Quality and Compliance:
- Ensure all work meets OSHA standards, maintaining an OSHA 10 certification with the capability to upgrade to OSHA 30.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency with Earthworks/JS900 GPS equipment and Trimble software.
- Ability to perform GPS calibration on construction machinery.
- Familiarity with Propeller software for aerial data processing.
- Experience in performing Buggy and/or Drone-based topographical mapping. o Understanding of heat map creation and interpretation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating Wingtra drones.
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.
