Job Description & Summary:
The HR Services Advisor is an entry-level position responsible for supporting clients by performing specialized and administrative duties in a designated human resource program or area.
Our services include tax planning, compliance & assurance, merger & acquisition, advisory, wealth management, accounting services, payroll, and IT Support. BMSS strives to give all clients "peace of mind" and believes in exceptional client experience. BMSS was established in Birmingham in 1991 and has grown to become a top 100 advisory and CPA firm in the U.S. BMSS has five locations (Hoover, downtown Birmingham, Gadsden, Huntsville) AL and (Ridgeland) MS. This position will be based out of our Huntsville office and a bachelor's degree in human resources is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Advises clients on the creation and administration of plans and policies for human resource activities.
- Advises clients by recommending solutions to human resource issues relating to the assigned program or section area.
- Develops, revises, and implements HR policies and procedures.
- Advises clients on compliance issues with new or established policies and procedures and with any relevant federal, state, or local legislation.
- Prepares and maintains reports as requested.
- Completes audits using compliance checklist and prepares summary findings reports.
- Answers requests for information on policy interpretation.
- Assists with developing, coordinating and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow.
- Performs onboarding functions interacting directly with client's new employees and systems to ensure smooth transition of hire.
