JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior MEP Engineer is responsible for assisting in managing all components of construction project related to Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Low Voltage, Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, Balancing, and BMS/BAS Controls. Dedicated to developing an understanding of the MEPF designs through review of Basis of Design, Drawings (plans), specifications and applicable code requirements. Understands the design intent of Architectural Design Documents including interfaces with Architectural, Structural, and Civil Design Consultants and trade partners. Reviews contract documents and makes suggestions/modifications as they relate to MEPF trades. The SR. MEP Engineer combines a understanding of these fields with the management skills necessary to coordinate the work of a variety of different employees both within the office and field environments.
SALARY RANGE: $130,000 - $140,000 annually (companywide)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Dedicated supervision of multiple trades to monitor and manage the MEPF process during each phase of construction; including but not limited to pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction.
- Support the owner, architect, and MEPF designer in planning and installation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, fire alarm and low-voltage systems.
- Responsible for generating Request for Information (RFI) and submittals.
- Manage project MEPF subcontractors.
- Act as the “information hub” to ensure continuity of work.
- Offer technical information to project supervisor to ensure work complies with applicable codes, drawings, and specifications.
- May coordinate change orders, expedite material, and job site equipment, assist in preparation of estimates, and compile data to assist in analyzing project progress.
- Monitor and track project quality control metrics and activities on a regular basis; provide timely and accurate quality reports, and raise issues to Project Manager or Superintendent, as appropriate.
- Verify that all MEPF equipment and materials are consistent with the approved submittals when they arrive on jobsites.
- Facilitate the Develop and implement the start-up and testing work through turnover of systems.
- Responsible for development of commissioning plans for all MEPF Systems, working with Commissioning Agent and subcontractors.
- Host jobsite coordination meetings with MEPF subcontractors.
- Work with commissioning agents to ensure all required field support by MEPF trades are provided.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate or pending graduate of a four-year degree program in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Full knowledge of computer software, i.e., Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of Autocad or Revit a plus.
- Broad knowledge of LEAN and BIM techniques.
- Experience with BIM is a plus.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.

Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as computer keyboard, mouse, calculator and similar machines.
