We're seeking a future team member in the role of Oracle database performance specialist to join our Pershing Technology team. This role is located in Lake Mary, FL Or Jersey City, NJ - HYBRID.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

• Review of database and schema design, provide guidance to application team on optimal database table/index structure enabling highly performing database tasks under high volume.
• Proactively review database query performance, identify possible optimizations required, engage application team to review and help with implementation of optimizations through application life cycle management
• Support on demand database performance issues for remediation working with application team covering end to end performance analysis
• Work with application team for guidance for database schema and DML changes leveraging application and database testing tools and process covering deployment and potential rollback
• Architect higher resiliency at database server level leveraging Oracle Data Guard, Golden Gate and other features providing highest level of availability for application

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

The resource should be expert in Oracle database performance analysis and tuning providing stable and scalable database environment. The person should be experienced in the database life cycle management covering design, development, testing and deployment.

Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

• 15 or more years of experience in Oracle Performance tuning with end-to-end analysis of the issue and guiding support groups to focus and remediate issues whether from client or server side. Must be comfortable with use of all required tools including Oracle OEM, App Dynamics, AWR, ADDM, SQL Profile and other tools
• Minimum 10 years of experience with Oracle database logical and physical design implementation for large and complex applications
• 5 or more years of experience with one or more of Oracle resilient technologies including Data Guard, Golden Gate Replication, Restore point/Flash back, Cloning and Database restore
• 5 or more years of experience in managing Exadata appliances and able to manage multiple database servers running in multi-tenancy mode providing highly resilient database servers with Oracle RAC implementation. Experience with Exadata hardware, OS, Storage and GRID components would be desirable
• Should have passion for relational and non-relational data platform management and quickly adopt/embrace new platforms and technology helping to provide greater value to our business partners

Preferred Qualifications:(Most important to least) *These skills are nice to have; Willing to train.

• Masters in Computer Science or equivalent areas
• Certification in one or more of Oracle database Performance tuning
• Exposure with DevOps CI/CD and database deployment automation
