Description

Basic Functions:

Handles the deliveries of items for the restaurant and ensures that the shipments are inspected, sorted and stored appropriately as needed. They need to keep up with invoices to make sure orders are correct.

Essential Functions:

1. Checking in and receiving all deliveries – checking quality and verifying invoices, inspects all perishable items, documents all seafood on incoming checklist and properly stores items.
2. Checking and maintaining all dry storage rooms are kept in order, product rotated and dated.
3. Checking and maintaining freezers and coolers are kept in order, product rotated and dated.
4. Drives company vehicle to pick up airport shipments and occasionally drives to vendors and warehouses for supplies.
5. Maintains Air Bill Board.
6. Performs supply ordering when purchasing agent is not on site.
7. Restocks all products.
8. Makes “Festival” deliveries and pick-ups when in season.
9. Assists with End Of Month Inventory

Qualifications:

Knowledge

1. Purchasing experience
2. Knowledge and understanding of purchasing inventory control
3. Basic math skills and cash handling procedures.

Skills/Aptitudes

1. Drivers licensed required
2. Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
3. Ability to work in a high-energy and demanding environment.
4. Organization skills.

Working Guidelines

1. 90% of the time standing.
2. 10% of the time sitting.
3. Behaves professionally and can be flexible in a changing environment.
4. Must speak fluent English.
5. Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction.
6. Must be able to see to 20/20 vision with correction.
7. Excellent attendance is required with schedule flexibility determined by business needs.
8. Able to lift boxes and containers up to 75 pounds.
