Job Description:
BODEC, Inc., a leading construction firm specializing in EPC solutions, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Carpenter to join our growing team. This role will focus on delivering high-quality carpentry services, ensuring safety on job sites, and contributing to the successful completion of various construction projects. You will play a key part in maintaining project timelines, meeting client expectations, and collaborating with the construction team to ensure smooth operations from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Blueprint Reading & Compliance: Interpret blueprints, ensuring adherence to building codes, zoning laws, and workplace safety regulations.
- Rough & Finish Carpentry: Perform rough carpentry tasks such as framing, and execute finish carpentry work with attention to detail, delivering precision and craftsmanship.
- Concrete Work: Form and pour concrete for foundations, sidewalks, and other projects, ensuring structural integrity and safety.
- Fence Installation: Install chain-link fencing with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Project Cost Estimation & Materials Ordering: Estimate costs for various projects, prepare materials lists, and order supplies as needed to meet deadlines and project requirements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and safely operate all tools, machinery, and mid-size equipment to ensure efficiency and safety on the job site.
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of carpentry experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Experience in both rough and finish carpentry.
- Ability to form and pour concrete with precision.
- Familiarity with estimating project costs and managing materials.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety standards and ability to work at heights.
