Plane Remodeling Company is Hiring a Residential Construction Project Manager Near New York, NY
Plane is a new kind of residential general contracting company. Our aim is to radically improve the renovation experience for our clients and moreover, elevate the industry by contributing technology, best practices, and green-building solutions for a healthier planet. Our small team has accomplished a lot in a short amount of time, and we are fiercely committed to staying the course.
We are looking for a talented individual who is excited to join us in fixing an antiquated industry. This could be you if you are highly interested in the construction industry and are obsessed with client service. Furthermore, when you commit to doing something you do it (every time) and are unafraid of navigating the complexity of high-end residential building. You like learning and embracing new skills. You also like to share your ideas to make the team’s processes more efficient.
You’ll be involved in managing all aspects of residential renovation projects and be an integral part of creating a one-of-a-kind renovation experience. Managing the many moving parts of a project will be second nature to you. You'll assist with the continued development of our proprietary systems. You’ll continue our practice of working collaboratively among the management and construction teams. You'll focus on all administrative aspects of bringing our projects from start to finish.
Our ideal construction projects are with clients, architects and engineers who view our collaboration as a true partnership. We are fortunate to work with some of the best clients and design professionals in the field and we take their commitment, time, and money very seriously. We’re a small team and we’re entrusting you with the responsibility of representing Plane and everything we’ve proudly built thus far.
EXPERIENCE
- 5-10 years in the construction industry as a site supervisor or project manager.
- Prior client-facing roles (any industry).
CURRENT SKILLS (OR WILLINGNESS TO LEARN)
- Client service
- Spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.)
- Project planning and Gantt charting
- Project administration
- Specification research and analysis
- Beautiful written communication
- Construction drawing literacy
- Floor planning and design skills a plus, but not required
- On-site problem solving
