Job Summary
Boombah is a rapidly growing Sports Apparel, Footwear, and Equipment Company looking for new talent to join our team. We are seeking a highly innovative and creative Graphic Designer with a passion for sports and fitness to support our apparel development team by producing graphics and digital assets that showcase our products. The Graphic Designer will play a key role in enhancing our visual identity and ensuring consistency across all platforms.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for immersing oneself in assigned sports categories by learning what styles, fonts, graphics, logos and colors are on trend and what emerging trends may be upcoming in the marketplace. Takes research and learned information to conceptualize and develop designs that engage and meet the needs of the athletic apparel and uniform consumer and communicates the company’s brand identity.
- Interprets company’s needs and develops concepts to suit specific guidelines while working within budget constraints.
- Ensures apparel development remains on schedule by completing concepts, designs, and revisions on schedule understanding that additional hours are needed in peak development cycles to meet the established deadlines.
- Ensures all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within the specifications of the garments being developed and that files are complete and accurate.
- Continually identifying, analyzing and improving upon tasks to optimize the speed and quality of the design process.
- Develops templates and determines specific graphic placements for new products.
- Delivers seamless assets to Web – Creative Services , Art Production, and Product Development.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continually improve design output.
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Digital Design, Graphic Design, Art or related field required. Commensurate experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Graphic Designer, Sr. Production Artist or Digital Production Artist needed either in an in-house creative or agency environment.
- Expertise within Adobe Creative Suite – Illustrator & Photoshop required.
- Knowledge of the apparel and garment manufacturing process and techniques related to sublimation, embroidery, screen printing, sewing etc. as well as fabrics and trims.
- Familiarity with current and emerging design trends with the ability to translate concepts into creative solutions that appeal to the athletic marketplace.
- A portfolio showcasing previous work that demonstrates creativity and technical skills is required.
