What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior Glazier position at Boston Glass Group?
Boston Glass Group is looking for qualified individuals to assist Lead Installers to install glass. The ideal candidate will need to be responsible, motivated and punctual. Knowledge of tools and construction is a plus, but not necessary for this position. We are searching for the right person(s) to join our team. Some specific tasks that the candidate can expect to be reviewed on are listed below:
- Learn and consistently use safe and careful handling techniques of glass and materials
- Exhibit understanding of our frameless shower door installation process upon weekly, and 30 day review
- Daily loading of company van with materials and tools needed for the day
- Daily cleaning and organization of van tools; including van clean out and organization at the end of the work day.
- Demonstrate an eye for details, or improvement of attention to detail - (leaving job sites, work vans, etc, in better condition than when you arrived)
- Prepare and organize materials for upcoming installations
- Learn to read shower diagrams to aid installation and preparation
Experience in with the following areas will also be helpful
- iPhone/iPad - taking photos, editing photos, drawing apps, Google calendar
- Customer service familiarity (communication, punctuality)
- Ability to learn in a fast paced environment
There will be paid training both on the job and during our informative workshops so you can learn the skills needed to succeed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37 – 42 per week
