- Low: $110,825.41/year
- High: $149,940.26/year
- Additional compensation:

What You'll Do
Leadership / Extreme Ownership
- Act as an Ambassador of Boulder Creek Neighborhoods™ (BCN) with all internal and external customers, trade partners and vendors
- Demonstrate Extreme Ownership for all plans, decisions, actions, and outcomes of the Purchasing Department
- Act as Lifefull Listener™ and contributing member of the BCN Leadership Team
- Utilize data and analysis from leadership meetings to understand, embrace, and influence the tactical and strategic goals of BCN, and align the work, output, and outcomes of the Purchasing department with the goals of BCN
- Guide the resolution of operational issues as they come up; propose changes to processes to fix root causes
- Embody high standards of professionalism and job performance at all times and inspire others to do the same
- Strategically hire, evaluate, and develop the competency and capability of team members individually and as teams
- Provide hands-on support and leadership to Team members as needed
- Serve as a strategic planner by researching best practices within and outside of the industry, and proactively identify, develop, and drive forward-looking strategies
- Design and implement department policies to ensure all procedures support the BCN organizational goals
- Set high expectations for costing knowledge within the Purchasing Team, leveraging unit costs, building assemblies, and option logic to drive precision and efficiency
- Manage a robust bid process through proactive communication, plan analysis, and cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring alignment with BCN’s PQSV (Price, Quality, Scope, Value) model
- Work closely with the Product Design and Construction Teams to integrate cost controls, optimize materials and labor, uphold quality standards, manage costs, address variances, and identify opportunities for efficiency
- Oversee and adjust option offerings and pricing in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with current market trends and BCN’s margin goals
- Lead end-to-end supply chain operations, cultivating long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with trade partners
- Strive to achieve operational excellence, cost efficiency, and uphold industry-leading standards in quality and reliability
- Ensure a high level of fiduciary responsibility to BCN by continuously tracking and analyzing budgets and home cost reports to ensure cost controls and eliminate unnecessary expenses
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in technologies, materials, and trade partner relationships, promoting adaptability and innovation within the department
- Analyze customer feedback and Eliant surveys for potential improvements to scopes and specifications
- Collaborate with Product Development, Sales, and Home Design Teams to create and manage feature offerings and option selections in line with BCN’s philosophy
- Ensure the Design Center, Sales, and Marketing teams have all materials, information, and support needed to effectively engage with customers
Experience and Education
- Minimum of 5 years of directly leading and managing teams or departments required
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in construction or management encouraged
- Minimum of 7 (10 if no bachelor’s degree) years progressive field and/or purchasing experience in residential construction
- Professionally recognized Purchasing or Supply Chain certification such as C.P.M., CPSM or CSM strongly encouraged
- Strong organizational skills, people skills, management abilities and strategic planning skills
- Ability to work effectively with the pressures of meeting schedules and producing quality product
- Ability to identify and resolve issues, establish priorities and achieve desired outcomes
- Ability to read and understand plans
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must be computer proficient, with strong skills in Windows, Excel, Word and Internet required. Experience with an ERP system preferred
- Must be able to effectively communicate clear performance expectations and desired results, monitor outcomes, and provide ongoing feedback to trade contractors
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job in accordance with Company standards and policies, and professional business practices
