Lead Program Staff
Love kids? This is the ideal position, full of hands-on, active fun. As a Program Lead, you’ll help plan, organize and lead fun and educational activities for youth ages 6 to 11.

Schedule: About 30-32 hours a week during the summer, 20-24 hours a week during the school year, hours will vary between 7:30-5:30 (summer) and 1:30-6 (school year), Monday through Friday.
Specific duties include:
Safe, Positive Environment
- Maintains a safe, organized and healthy environment by fostering cooperative social behavior.
- Establish and reinforce a safe, positive climate for all of our Boys & Girls Club members
- Maintain accountability of all assigned children at all times
- Provide positive reinforcement and constructive feedback to ensure all members get the most out of every experience
Program Implementation
- Implement and deliver relevant programming for youth, ages 6-11, which supports the Clubs priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles.
Guidance
- Utilize positive behavior guidance techniques with children
- Recognize potential conflicts between Club members and have the ability to diffuse the situation
- Encourage Club members to use problem-solving skills and utilize conflict resolution
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with youth
- Basic problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
- Driver’s License preferred
- Must meet childcare licensing training requirements for a lead position
Participates in ongoing training and professional development to increase skills and knowledge
