Job Summary
The Youth Development Professional plays a vital role in fostering the growth and development of young individuals through engaging programs and activities. Duties
- Develop and implement educational programs that promote personal growth, social skills, and academic success.
- Provide tutoring assistance to students in various subjects to enhance their learning experience.
- Facilitate recreational activities, including sports coaching and camp programs, to encourage teamwork and physical fitness.
- Supervise children during activities to ensure safety and adherence to guidelines.
- Maintain a positive environment that fosters respect, inclusivity, and personal development.
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and community members to create a supportive network for youth.
- Participate in training sessions related to first aid and emergency response procedures.
- Must be able to work Monday to Friday from 1:30pm-5:30pm.
Skills
- Experience working with students in an educational or recreational setting is essential. Retired teacher or teaching assistant is preferable.
- Background in special education or tutoring is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in sports coaching or daycare management is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages.
- Knowledge of first aid practices to ensure the safety of all participants.
- A passion for educating youth and promoting their overall development through engaging activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of individuals while maintaining a positive attitude.
