Boys & Girls Clubs Of Hutchinson in Hutchinson, KS is looking for 10 work-based learning participants to join our team. A work-based learning participant is a 14-15 year old that will either be placed at one of our local clubs or an external placement within our community. This is not intended for adults and all adults will not be considered. This is an opportunity for youth to get experience in our local workforce working 15-20 hours/week. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and hard-working.

Title: Work Based Learning Participant
Reports to: Workforce Development Coordinator
Primary function:
- Club Placement: Implements, supervises and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area. This will take place at either our Shadduck Park, or Ave. A. site.
- External placement: (Dictated by specific placement.) Placements will require some of the general duties listed below, but may also include duties such as; clerical, custodial, reception, or others dependent on the employers needs.

Prepare Youth for Success
1. Promote and stimulate program participation.
2. Participate in new member orientation process making them feel welcome and comfortable at the club.
3. Provide guidance and role modeling to members.
Communication
1. Discusses discipline problems with supervisor.
2. Discusses strategies with supervisor to deal with discipline problems.
3. Clearly and effectively communicates to youth.
4. Effectively communicates issues to supervisor, employees or other staff.
5. Maintains Professional Conduct which includes but not limited to maintaining confidentiality, no gossiping, etc.

2. Demonstrates punctuality by getting to work on time.
