Job Summary: Bradford is seeking a Design Manager to collaborate closely with homeowners to conceptualize and design custom homes and high end remodeling projects. Your creativity and technical expertise will play a crucial role in transforming ideas into innovative designs that meet both aesthetic and practical requirements. This team member must be resourceful, a good problem solver and organized. Position requires the ability to communicate well and effectively, verbally and in writing, with other members of the company.

This role will sit primarily in the office, but travel to the project job sites meeting with the project teams and subcontractors occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Create an amazing design experience for our clients with proactive communication and anticipating client's needs
• Coordinate aesthetic aspects of the home based on the client’s vision and sense of style.
• Collaborate with project managers and designers to develop design concepts and ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Prepare 2D and 3D models to visualize projects using tools like Sketchup
• Utilize graphic design skills to enhance presentations and project documentation using tools like Canva.
• Be a steward within a client's budget to maximize the performance and investments of their selections.
• Enter selections and upgrades into our design software to ensure they are communicated to the field and office staff.
• Procure order selections and document change orders.
• Ensure materials are delivered and organized to job site through qr codes
• Maintain design library and catalogs
• Create design boards and other useful presentational assets
• Create and update finish schedules

Experience

• 2 years of experience in residential projects and Auto CAD minimum.
• Ability to modify existing stock plans, ensuring compliance with current standards and residential codes.
• Accurate construction documents based on sketches or drafts provided.
• Effectively manage deadlines across multiple projects, ensuring timely completion.
• Assist in updating, organizing, and managing CAD drawing files.
• Bonus points for your knowledge of IRC, Local Codes, and Ordinances, as well as Structural/Framing Planning.
• Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to juggle multiple high priority tasks
• Superior organizational skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
• Strong aptitude for quality and efficiency
• Must be energetic, a self-starter, and have a high sense of urgency
