NURSE PRACTITIONER JOB DESCRIPTION:
This well-respected Community Health Center is guided by a commitment to excellence and compassionate care for all. The Nurse Practitioner will play a vital role in providing primary care to a diverse and underserved patient population.
NURSE PRACTITIONER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Compassionate and Comprehensive outpatient primary care services including but not limited to well and sick visits
- Providing immunizations, STI and common infections treatment, and education
- Diagnosing patient injury/illness and providing appropriate treatment and education
- Managing complex medical issues within the scope of internal medicine practices; including but not limited to diagnosis and treatment of Diabetes, HIV, Hepatitis, and Tuberculosis
- Reviewing medical histories, interpreting diagnostic tests and labs
- Monitoring and ensuring patient satisfaction
- Facilitating appropriate utilization of the healthcare system and encouraging appropriate follow-up care
NURSE PRACTITIONER REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in community and public health
- Comfortable with supporting LGBTQ population as well as individuals with substance abuse disorders (OBAT)
- Commitment and interest in working with multicultural and impoverished populations
- Primary or Secondary language skills in: Portuguese or Spanish (not required)

Salary : $110,000 - $140,000
