Job Summary:
Bradford Veterinary Clinic is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services. Responsibilities:
- Preparing medications by counting pills, measuring liquids, ensuring proper labels with clear instructions and chart documentation.
- Communicating some test results with clients such as fecal results, heartworm, and other common tests which have yielded normal results.
- Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis, ear cytologies, and blood work.
- Sending radiology images to clients for their records and for reference when the doctor reaches out to discuss results.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
Experience:
- Must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with your teammates and with clients
-Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment which often demands multitasking and project prioritization
-Must be a quick learner
-(Nice to have) Proficient in veterinary terminology and medical procedures
-(Nice to have) Proficiency in laboratory procedures, such as sample collection and analysis
-(Nice to have) Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology and procedures.
