An exciting opportunity exists for a Tool Room Machinist to join our St. Jospeh, MO location. The Tool Room Machinist will work under the direction of the Machine Shop Superintendent to support plant production and follow industries best practices.
SHIFT: 1st Shift
PAY: $25.26 - $28.76
Purpose Statement:
Employee will be required to load, maintain and inventory the electronic record keeping software. Repair cutter bodies, operate tool room machines, build fixtures off drawings, operate overhead cranes and forklifts.

Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Manage and load Tool Boss
- Operate both manual mill/lathe and Bridgeport
- Effectively use various tool sharpeners and grinders in tool room
- Proficiently use a torch for various applications
- Drive a forklift
- Operate an overhead crane
- Repair lathe cutting tools as needed
- Control data
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of machining
- Microsoft Excel application
- Unibis or similar program preferred
- Reading schematics and blueprints
- Demonstrated use and understanding of micrometers and callipers
- Demonstrated use of manual mill/lathe preferred
- Effective organization and time management
- Ability to work independently or as a team
- Must be knowledgeable with the use of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to use basic hand tools
