Summary:
Under general supervision of the Facilities Management Foreman responsible for pick up and delivery of mail bank deposits picking up of supplies and running of errands.
Responsibilities:
Make pick ups and deliveries of mail and bank deposits.
Plans and organizes daily schedule and route to maximize efficient use of time.
Maintains daily driver log of activities for the day.
Transport personnel and performs various other errands as necessary.
Maintains hospital vehicle in safe clean and orderly condition.
Reports any problems difficulties or unusual circumstances to the Facilities Management Foreman.
Maintains quality assurance safety environmental and infection control in accordance with established hospital department policies procedures and objectives.
Performs all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with established Bradley Hospital Facilities Management department policy and the Fleet Risk Control policy and procedures.
Must have a good driving record meet and maintain the appropriate valid drivers license in order to operate motor vehicle as required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations and in accordance with Brown University Health Fleet Risk Control policy.
Performs other related duties as required.
Other information:BASIC KNOWLEDGE:
Completion of or equivalent to high school education.
Ability to communicate and interact well with people.
Understand directions and routes.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one years driving experience with a good driving record.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
May provide temporary supervision of assigned personnel.
