What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host/Hostess position at Brass Monkey?
Brass Monkey is looking to hire a hostess!
Duties include greeting customers upon entry, answering phones, and placing take-out orders. The hostess will also be required to support the waitstaff with bussing tables, running food and drinks.
Hostess Responsibilities:
- Greeting guests as they enter, putting them on a waiting list as necessary
- Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions
- Answering phone calls, taking reservations
- A knowledge of the menu
- Helping out with other positions in the restaurant as needed
- Providing great customer service
Hostess Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to provide top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff
- Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
- Able to work in a busy restaurant environment
- Restaurant experience a plus, but not mandatory
- Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Always have a smile
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
