Wine Country Publications, a subsidiary of Brehm Communications Inc. (BCI), is seeking self-driven, outgoing individuals for its Advertising Sales staff based in Sonoma, Napa, San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara. We are seeking employees to sell advertising within our wine-tourism products. Our primary publication, Wine Country This Week, has been published continuously since 1981.
Summary - This position is one where the individual selected will take a proactive approach for revenue growth with both existing and new advertising customers, while assisting and partnering with their marketing needs. Prospective customers will include, but not be limited to, wineries, hotels, restaurants, touring companies and any other wine-related businesses.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed monthly revenue goals
- Develop rapport with existing accounts while developing new business opportunities
- Communication with editorial staff on advertising and editorial opportunities for customers
- Demonstrate professional and effective work habits
- Provide accurate information on completed contracts in a timely manner
- Make effective sales presentations to advertisers, showing current publications, special sections and opportunities for additional advertising
- Additional delivery services for territory may be necessary at times
Qualifications and Skills
- Prior Retail/Media/Advertising sales experience
- Strong administrative capabilities—time management, organization, prioritization
- Must possess a reliable means of transportation, as well as a valid state driver’s license and automobile insurance that meets the state’s minimum requirements
Compensation – This will be a base plus commission position and is paid semi-monthly.
