18.52 to$20.37 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center / Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00p.m.Performs experienced paraprofessional work in maintaining and analyzing the accounts for the Natural Resources Department anddirecting the work of subordinate staff.
REQUIREMENTS : Two (2) years [60 semester or 90 quarter hours] of college-level credit with major coursework in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field PLUS one (1) year of experience in an accounting, full-charge bookkeeping system. Additional qualifying education and / or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Familiarity with the Property Appraiser, Tax Collector, and Department of Revenue websites is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS : Must possess, or obtain prior to employment a valid Florida driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
