Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper-Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various administrative tasks, ensuring smooth office operations, and providing support in financial activities. This role requires a proactive individual with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Oversee daily office operations and maintain an organized workspace.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure timely payments to employees.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable in Quickbooks.
- Reconcile cash accounts and make bank deposits
- Assist in journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.
- Support sales tax preparation and compliance activities as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline administrative processes and improve efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably as an Office Administrator or similar position.
- Strong understanding of payroll systems, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with accounting principles and practices related to accounts receivable and tax compliance.
- Proficient in using office software applications, including excel and quickbooks.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
The ideal candidate will have an associates degree in accounting, or strong relevant work experience demonstrating a grasp of the fundamental principals of accounting in a manufacturing environment. The position is part time, in person, generally expected to be 4 days of 6 hours each, or possibly 3 days of 8 hours each. The days of week are negotiable f the right candidate, but will be Monday through Friday in any case.
