The Regional Director of Operations works with the corporate team to oversee the operations, manages multiple assisted living, memory care, and independent living communities ensuring excellent operational performance and quality of care standards are maintained, according to Bridge Senior Living standards.

Expectations For The Role

The Regional Director manages the community based on BSL policies and procedure. The Regional Director is fully knowledgeable of all state and federal regulations, guidelines and reporting pertinent to the day-to-day operation. This position would cover communities located in Missouri. The Regional Director is responsible for acting as the interim Executive Director for any vacant positions or during transitions in the community.

  • Support mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision.
  • Establish and monitor goals and expectations for the Assisted Living and Memory Care departments.
  • Conduct staff supervisory responsibilities to include selection, hiring, orientation, training, scheduling, coaching, monitoring, counseling, discipline, and terminations.
  • Conduct onboarding, orientation, training, and coaching to newly hired Executive Directors.
  • Develop staff plans which effectively recruit, allocate, retain, develop and mentors’ staff to established standards of performance while building a strong rapport with those we serve and their families.
  • Administer Associate Policies and Procedures. Orient staff and train on policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for providing input into the budget and monitoring its effective implementation through regular reporting and monitoring of resources.
  • Make reports and recommendations to the Executive Director as necessary or required concerning the operation of the community.
  • Oversee compliance with established company and state mandated practices for documentation. Monitor and coach staff for improved performance.
  • Oversee surveys and inspections made by government agencies.
  • Obtain and demonstrate knowledge of the Spark Book, Spark program and its inherent core values. Support and participate in Spark Book Culture Initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with regional partners in sales and wellness (clinical). Work collaboratively with Support center personnel.
  • Deliver community census and financial performance at the industry-leading levels expected by the company.
  • Travel will be required 95% of the time as determined by community needs and directed by the VP of Operations.
  • Support any additional company initiatives, projects, and perform other duties as assigned.

What you should bring

  • Valid license to operate an assisted living community, if mandated by the State in which the communities are located.
  • Multi-site experience in Senior Living.
  • Proven track and understanding of management practices.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Demonstrated financial analysis and management skills
  • Previous P&L responsibilities for multi-site locations.
  • Strong business acumen
  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, health care administration or related field
  • Reputation for ensuring excellent in operational performance from the communities you lead.
