Your Role
- Analysis: Responsible for conducting necessary analysis across disciplines to measure performance and compliance for Brightline programs.
- Benefits Administration: Responsible for the development, communication, implementation, and administration of benefits program including health, wellness, and 401k administration (familiarity with Railroad Retirement a plus) across multiple US geographies; Leverage market data to ensure program recommendations are competitive; Maintain, update and enhance the HRIS benefits module, including integrations, as appropriate.
- Compliance: Responsible for ensuring processes and reporting procedures meet all company, state, and federal regulations across payroll, benefits, and leave administration including but not limited to ERISA, COBRA, FMLA/ADA/USERRA 5500s, and Health Care Reform.
- Leave Administration: Oversees the administration of all leave-of-absence requests, ensuring processes are streamlined and optimized for an empathetic teammate experience including STD, LTD, state-driven disability laws, FMLA/ADA/USERRA.
- Wellness Programs Management: Responsible for development, execution and management of wellness program. This includes creating experiences that align with our strategy, enhance the teammate experience and educate teammates.
- Payroll: Oversees the end-to-end payroll processes and reporting for three business entities.
Your Qualifications
- A minimum of seven years of benefit management and payroll management experience in a corporate environment
- Past experience evaluating market data to ensure our benefits programs remain competitive
- Proven experience in the design and implementation of benefits and HRIS programs
- Must have strong change management experience
- Significant experience with ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and emerging regulatory issues
- Experience with overseeing US payroll tax and reporting across multiple states
- Advanced MS Excel skills, such as VLOOKUP, pivot tables, conditional formatting, advanced charting, data validation and manipulation, etc.
- Possesses an employee customer-centric and problem-solving mindset
- Strong written and oral communication skills; Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels
- Ability to work cross-functionally, especially with HR team, payroll, and finance
- Ability to work onsite out of either our Orlando or Downtown Miami locations in a hybrid capacity (3 days per week onsite).
