About the Role
We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Asphalt Laborer to join our growing team. As an integral part of our operations, you’ll work on a variety of paving projects, contributing to our reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of construction sites, including cleaning, grading, and layout.
- Load, unload, and transport asphalt and construction materials to and from the site.
- Spread, rake, and level asphalt to meet specifications using hand tools.
- Operate basic equipment such as rollers, tampers, and shovels as directed.
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.
- Follow safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the foreman or supervisor.
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license (CDL is highly desirable!).
- At least 2 years of experience in the asphalt paving industry.
- A positive attitude and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience operating small machinery or hand tools, such as rakes, shovels, rollers, tampers, or paving machines.
- Familiarity with asphalt handling, paving techniques, and proper compaction practices.
- Previous work in physically demanding environments, such as lifting heavy materials, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and standing for long periods.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
