Software Development Manager

We are seeking a Software Development Manager who will leading global software teams focused on application development of our customer applications. In this role, you will be managing the development of client applications and will need to have experience managing teams using Java/Angular/SQL environments or similar development technologies. The development and delivery of new features, reports, and interfaces will be the responsibility of you and your team.

You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the role, at times, will have interaction with our clients as well as executives within our own organization. We are looking for someone that is "up to date" on development technologies and methodologies and is smart, resourceful and will do what it takes to get things done. Experience with up to date software testing methods to insure error free code and development using containerization would be relevant.

For this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

• Five or more years plus of software development management experience. Experience managing global development teams would be a plus.
• Experienced with current software design and development methodologies and architecture.
• Experienced with Industry Standard Source Control/Configuration tools
• Ability to mentor, encourage and manage software developers and engineers
• Knowledge of and experience with API development and backend system integrations
  
  

For this role, the right individual would be one that has a development and software engineering background that has come up through the ranks and has experience managing software engineers and managing development teams. Our offices are located in the Providence, RI area and you must currently live in this area.

This is a full-time position with full benefits, 401K with match, and paid time off. This role is working 1-2 days each week from our offices in the Providence Rhode Island area so YOU MUST LIVE in this area to be considered qualified.
