Job Summary
Broadway Management Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing leasing activities, showcasing properties, and ensuring a positive experience for prospective tenants. This role requires strong administrative skills and going over contracts effectively while adhering to relevant laws and regulations.
Duties
- Create marketing and promotional materials to advertise vacant units on the property.
- Monitor the use of community facilities and common areas.
- Meet with prospective tenants, taking them on tours of the units they are interested in and highlighting the benefits of the units and property.
- Prepare and executing lease documents according to Broadway Management Group standards and regulations.
- Conduct credit and background checks to qualify potential tenants.
- Confirm information and references provided by potential tenants on the application.
- Collect application fees and security deposits from potential tenants and monthly rental payments from existing tenants.
- Inform residents of any changes to their rental agreement or upcoming events or issues associated with the property.
- React to notifications from Maintenance of lease violations. Prepare, have delivered, and mail lease violation 14-day cure letters. Track responses, follow-up and escalate as needed.
- Review eviction and set-out lists received from accounting. Coordinate and communicate with Maintenance as required to complete inspections and set-outs.
- Prepare all misc. notices, postings and letters needed from time to time for various problems and issues (e.g., trash problems, parking, property inspections for cleanliness/repairs/ plumbing/pests, utility shut-offs, realtor showings and etc.).
- Maintain office space in professional manner, ensuring best presentation to walk-ins and other visitors.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant applications, leases, and other related documents using office software.
- Perform data entry tasks related to tenant information and lease agreements.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with property management to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet tenant expectations.
Skills
- Strong administrative skills with proficiency in rental software for data entry and record management.
- Knowledge of leasing contracts, property management laws, and regulations, including Section 8.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with prospective tenants and current residents.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
