ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
BMG has an exciting opportunity for an Inside Sales / Parts Specialist role at our Beaverton, MI site. Our inside sales/parts specialists handle all customer inquiries related to BMG orders, parts, and services, ensuring timely issue resolution. They receive and process parts orders from customer phone calls, purchase orders, and incoming spare parts quotation requests. This is a salary non-exempt position and it is eligible for sales commissions.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Address customer questions promptly and thoroughly, offering additional information, clarification, or support to assist with the decision-making process.
- Provide expert technical guidance on BMG products and services to effectively resolve customer concerns.
- Accurately receive and enter customer orders, ensuring all information is up-to-date and correct.
- Generate quotes for spare parts inquiries, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Inform customers of any changes to parts repairs, replacements, or additional parts needed to complete repairs or address breakdowns.
- Monitor parts availability and provide customers with accurate delivery timelines.
- Maintain and update quote listings in line with current processes and requirements.
- Address any special requests related to parts orders, taking necessary actions within existing systems to fulfill these requests.
- Create spare parts kits when they are sold with new machine orders and ensure the recommended spares list is completed according to the latest processes.
- Monitor sales margins and take appropriate actions as needed to maintain profitability.
- Inform marketing or service teams about non-parts/service sales opportunities and track leads for other product lines
- Stay informed about product updates, service offerings, industry trends, and competitors’ products and services.
- Share ideas with management that can enhance departmental efficiency and profitability.
- Travel as required for the role.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Three years experience in related industry; prefer experience selling thermoforming or automation related parts.
- Familiar with basic working knowledge of equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed for the role.
- Mechanical blueprint reading experience preferred.
- A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
