The BMMSA Business Office is looking to add a full-time experienced Evaluation and Management Compliance Officer to their team. This person will be in charge of responding to external audit requests from insurance companies and recording requests for the practice. The Compliance Officer will also provide documentation from the record for pre and post payment audits, perform quality audits, and review reports/data.
Functions/Responsibilities:
- Perform internal audits
- Review coding prior to bill submission
- Review coding criteria for Medicare
- Send results and reasons for denial to physicians
- Educate Physicians and NPP staff regarding documentation, coding, and billing
- Support Business Office staff
Qualifications:
- Nursing background
- CPT coding experience
- Experience with medical record audits or review
