Milieu Supervisor

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Milieu Supervisor is responsible for supervision of milieu operations in assigned units to ensure safe and therapeutic environment, appropriate staffing, and execution of hospital policies and unit programming.  Provides milieu and clinical supervision and training to Mental Health Technicians (MHTs) and facilitates interviewing of MHT applicants, performance evaluation and personnel counseling as needed.

Starting pay is $20 DOE

Qualifications

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Associate's Degree required.  Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred.

Experience:

1-3 years of experience in a psychiatric hospital setting required. 3-5 years experience preferred. 

Physical requirements:

Medium Work – Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally or 10 – 25 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds of force frequently or an amount greater than negligible and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.  Physical demand requirements are in excess of these for light work.   Requires walking or standing to a significant degree.
