Summary/Objective:
The Management Analyst (Cyber Systems) supports the 16th Air Force (AF) Strategic Plans and Programs Directorate (A8), which supports missions and functions for 16 AF Service needs and Air Forces Cyber (AFCYBER). 16 AF and AFCYBER require technical and analytical support in areas relating to planning, implementing, and executing Air Force and Combatant Command (CCMD) missions.
This role will analyze existing and emerging system technology developments and provide recommendations to develop new and/or modify existing Electronic Warfare (EW), Information Warfare (IW), Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), and cyber systems capabilities. Assist with coordination and oversight of capability related processes (i.e., cyber integration) to include test, requirements, and operational acceptance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing and emerging EW, IW, ISR and cyber requirements and provide recommendations to develop new and/or modify existing system requirements. Tasks include:
- Identifying operational/training shortfalls/ deficiencies/coordination/ synchronization with system stakeholders (such as MAJCOM, 16 AF units, USCYBERCOM, JFHQ-DoDIN, Industry, etc.).
- Conduct analysis to support the development and updating of systems Concept of Operations (CONOPs). Tasks include:
- Coordination with cyber weapon systems stakeholders (such as MAJCOM, 16 AF units, USCYBERCOM, CCMD, etc.)
- Evaluate requirements for integration into formal weapon system requirements, as well as evaluating new technologies to assess their ability to meet known shortfalls of existing weapon system designs. Tasks include:
- Facilitating the requirements working group and support for strategic cyber integrations.
- Providing recommendations pertaining to modification/implementation of cyber weapon systems.
- Review and validate AF cyber weapon system requirements, including normalizing/integrating cyber requirements into existing AF, MAJCOM, or CCMD requirements development process. Tasks include:
- Facilitating Operational Acceptance Process readiness reviews.
- Review, assess, and provide recommendations on existing and emerging capabilities requests and/or requirements. Tasks include:
- Knowledge of the cyber systems, to include design, function of individual components, and concept of employment.
- Assisting the Government in reviewing requests and/or requirements, identifying, developing, evaluating, updating, and maintaining AF cyber requirements documents for normalizing/integrating cyber needs into existing AF, MAJCOM, CCMD requirements development processes.
- Conducting Operational Acceptance Process readiness reviews, introduction of cyber capabilities to the Joint Cyber Warfighting Architecture (JCWA) (e.g., directory services, e-mail, SharePoint, VoIP, Unified Communications), and the on-boarding of functional systems.
Required Education and/or Experience:
- Must have knowledge of the cyber systems, to include design, function of individual components, and concept of employment.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, 80%.
