SUMMARY
Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products within assigned cells and departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Reads requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed
- Conveys materials and items from receiving to storage or to other designated areas.
- Receives, sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Fills requisitions, requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to packing and shipping department
- Marks materials with identifying information.
- Weighs or counts items for distribution within factory.
- Uses computer to accurately receive purchase orders.
- Delivers mail daily within the building
- Drives vehicle to pick up/drop-off items for factory.
- Operates a forklift and pallet jack.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Schedule: Mon - Thurs 6:45am to 4:00pm. Fri 7:00am till noon.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent communications skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must possess excellent math and counting skills.
- Database management skills.
- Analytical, multi-tasking and critical thinking skills required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Must possess a sense of urgency, accountability, and professionalism.
- Able to work well independently and as a team.
- Must be self-starter able to multi-task and prioritize workload.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-year experience within warehouse preferred.
