The Bucks County Children's Museum is seeking an enthusiastic and personable Part Time Weekend Visitor Services Manager (approx. 2-3 weekend days per month) to join our team and oversee weekend operations. As Weekend Visitor Services Manager you are an ambassador of the museum to every guest that enters the building. Must be a fun, self-motivated team player, able to provide exceptional visitor services to both children and families. Duties include manage front-of-house operations; supervise our awesome part-time front desk & high school birthday party staff; maintain museum exhibits. Management, sales and/or customer service experience preferred. Background in working with kids a plus! Great weekend job for teachers, graduate students, or anyone who has energy and people skills.

VERY flexible scheduling - 2-3 weekend days per month with opportunities for increased hours. Hourly pay/$19.00 Approx. 16-25 hours per month. Start date - Jan-Feb 2025.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Open and close Museum.
2. Operate Point of Sale
3.. Supervise and support cashiers, Visitor Services floor staff, and volunteers. Fills in upon staff absence.
4. Monitor museum exhibits, including straightening, cleaning and disinfecting of exhibit components.
5. Takes charge of any emergency/injury situations occurring in the museum, including the completion of incident reports when necessary.
6.Delegates tasks for staff to do on slower days.
7. Enforces museum policies.
8. Facilitate successful execution of Birthday Party reservations, including set-up before and cleanup after. Act as host to ensure guest satisfaction on day of party.
9. Promote sales of memberships. Copying completed membership forms .
10.Train new staff on the desk and floor.
11.Maintaining museum facilities & rest rooms.
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Post high school education and/or work experience involving guest services, management and/or sales.
2. Ability to interact positively with young children and their families.
3. Outstanding managerial and organizational abilities.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as collaborative skills to work with staff across the Museum.
5. Proficiency with computers, experience with POS systems a plus.
6. Requires the ability to manage others in a creative and fast-paced professional environment. An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards.
7. Requires excellent problem solving skills.
8. A persistent self-motivator who can work with minimal oversight and achieve team goals on a consistent basis.
9. Requires an individual who is committed to providing exceptional customer service to children and their families. ADA REQUIREMENTS: VISUAL: Required to observe exhibit space, view activities and exhibit components, and use computer. ORAL: Required for heavy communication with staff, children and adult public. HEARING: Required for face-to-face and telephone conversations with staff, children and adult public. DEXTERITY: Required for keyboarding, manipulating activities, exhibit cleaning, maintenance, and handling of collections materials. OTHER PHYSICAL: Requires ability to lift 25 pounds.
10. Background clearances required.
