What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver - Medical Transportation position at Buffalo Transportation, INC.?
***All applicants must bring in a 3 year motor vehicle record (also called a driving abstract) which can be obtained from the DMV in person or through their website. You may use one already in your possession if it is dated within the past 30 days.***
This position requires either a class E (livery/taxi) driver's license -OR- CDL with P endorsement before full employment. You may apply for the position with a regular class D.
Duties:
- Safely operate a transport vehicle to transport passengers to their destinations
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed
- Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained at all times
- Maintain accurate records of passenger pick-up and drop-off times
- Communicate effectively with passengers to provide information and assistance
- Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely transportation
Experience: -A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this position.
- Previous experience in commercial driving, such as school bus driving or paratransit, is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects, as some passengers may require assistance with mobility devices or luggage
Compensation: Commission based on passenger type, mileage, and distance.
