We are currently in search of a Controller who is a personable, highly motivated, organized and detailed individual to serve as an integral member to the company. This position will direct the accounting department and manage the full accounting cycle, ensuring application of sound accounting principles and practices as needed by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and supporting financial information
- Prepare daily journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements and management reports accurately and in a timely manner
- Record and maintain fixed asset purchases and applicable depreciation and amortization schedules
- Record and maintain monthly lease schedules and preparation of lease payments
- Prepare variance analysis to budget and forecast
- Support in compilation of annual and periodic budget information
- Assist in meeting Tax Compliance including, Annual Corporate Tax Filings
- Reconcile all corporate banking transactions
- Complete monthly cash flow analysis
- Perform daily routines and month end procedures
- Manage and oversee the accounting staff including Payables and Billing/AR
- Respond to various queries and requests from external/internal auditors and vendors
- Maintain overall responsibility for accounts payable, receivable and payroll
- Ensure GAAP are being adhered to appropriately
- Appropriately manage the processes for accounting, costs, progress billing, AIA invoicing, draws, revenue recognition, lien releases, notice to owners, change orders and job costing
- Prepares credit applications, maintains account list and account files

- Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Sage 300, Procore, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office.
- Education/Experience: Bachelors Degree; Construction and project accounting and construction practice knowledge.
- Certificates and Licenses: Valid driver’s license
