Position Overview:
The Head of Property Management will be responsible for overseeing the management and operations of a portfolio of student housing apartments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in residential real estate, particularly in student housing, and a proven track record in managing multi-building properties and leading teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a multi-building portfolio of student housing properties in Berkeley, ensuring the highest standards of performance, resident satisfaction, and property maintenance.
- Oversee and mentor property management staff, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented team culture.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize occupancy rates, rental income, and minimize expenses.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to property management and student housing.
- Collaborate with leasing, maintenance, and finance teams to ensure seamless operations and adherence to budgets.
- Monitor and manage property performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
- Lead initiatives to enhance resident experiences, including community engagement and services tailored to student residents.
- Drive long-term capital planning and budgeting for property improvements and renovations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for any escalated resident concerns or complex property management issues.
Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in property management, with a strong emphasis on residential real estate. Student housing experience is highly preferred.
- Proven experience managing multi-building portfolios, with a focus on operational efficiency and tenant satisfaction.
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage, mentor, and develop teams.

Salary : $125,000 - $175,000
