Sanitation worker

A Day in the Life :

Sanitation employees are responsible for cleaning buildings and process areas. Assist and follow up on environmental testing, i.

e., swabs from the lab. Promote plant GMP's & Food Safety thru ensuring sanitary conditions are met.

Position Details :

This position works a 12-hour rotating shift schedule, including nights & weekends. Will also include overtime hours.

What You'll Be Doing :

• Required to adhere to all safety and GMP requirements as set forth in plant policies.
• Responsible to follow all department procedures.
• Trained and tested on the plant's contractor training rules.
• Filling the GMP supplies (footies, hairnets, beard nets.)
• Checking on the Environmental Monitoring Program from the lab swabs. They then go out and re-clean the area and call the lab to re-swab 3 times to be clean again,
• Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming all areas to keep the building clean at all times.
• Load up trash and cardboard into a truck and take it to the back of the plant to the proper containers to have it leave the plant.
• Required to keep up with the Master Sanitation List and sign off on jobs completed.
• Train & pass test on the fork-lifts and scissor lifts.

Minimum Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to work safely and follow all safety rules and policies
• Experience in Good Manufacturing Practices preferred
• Ability to operate various types of machinery, required
• Good attendance and reliability are critical
• Good communication skills
