Burg Simpson is seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Mass Tort litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate to gain law firm experience; or a candidate with 1-2 years of law firm experience interested in continuing to grow existing skills.
The position will support attorneys, paralegals and marketing team members within the Mass Tort Department; will have direct communication with clients to collect claim-related data; will set-up and assist with the maintenance of large electronic and paper files; will assist in the retrieval and review of records.
The position requires at least 3 years of work experience in a professional environment; the ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing; the ability to maintain a professional, helpful, friendly, client-first attitude; organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills; ability to focus on detail and accuracy; and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
