Human Resources Director (On site)

Eyas Hospitality Group, a growing restaurant franchise, currently seeks a talented and experienced Human Resources Director for its Restaurant Support Center in Durham, NC.

The HR Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes, including talent acquisition and management, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance. Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) HR experience is preferred.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop, maintain, and support a business partnership with the restaurant operations management team. Serve as an employee advocate and internal coach.
• Advise management on handling employee issues as well as oversee employee corrective actions, approve terminations, and conduct investigations.
• Ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
• Partner with multi-unit managers on staffing needs and help to develop a recruiting strategy. Remain in constant contact to follow up on weekly progress.
• Identify ways to increase applicant flow and enhance the candidate experience.
• Manage compensation and benefit programs, including salary changes and benefit administration.
• Develop and facilitate training programs to support employee development.
• Work with payroll vendor to ensure prompt and accurate payment of all team members.
• Conducts exit interviews and uses findings to propose new strategic initiatives to reduce turnover and increase employee engagement.
• Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal, state, and local HR-related requirements.
• Manage Workers' Compensation and Unemployment administration.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in human resources and/or HR Certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years human resources experience.
• Able to think strategically and translate business goals into HR objectives.
• Prior HR experience in the restaurant, or QSR or hospitality industry is preferred.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite as well as experience using HRIS and ATS systems and software.
• Able to deal with difficult situations and people while maintaining integrity.
• Able to solve practical problems and be able to balance a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Able to remain current on employment, state and federal laws.
