Line Service Technician

Burlington Trailways is looking to add a full-time, 1st shift Line Service Technician to our team in Davenport, IA.

• Monday – Friday from 9 am-6 pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch
• Up to $30.00 per hour based on experience

Summary

Entry level mechanics inspect thru and repair motor coaches ensuring they are in a safe operating state prior to being dispatched on the road. Must be self motivated!

Essential Functions

• Ability to do A & B bus inspections
• Trouble-shoot electrical problems
• Change lights
• Oil changes
• Greasing
• Inspection and repair of any unsafe or worn parts
• Change brake pads
• Breakdown and mount tires
• Fuel and check all fluid levels
• Clean bus and service lavatory if needed
• Fill out all required DOT and company paperwork
• Travel to road calls as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma/ GED, continuing education in mechanic field preferred
• Working knowledge of diesel equipment
• Working knowledge of air conditioning systems
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL class B including air brake and passenger endorsement
