Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - South Bay BMC
Description:
AM - 8hr:
40hr Days, M, W, F 8a-4:30p & T, TH 10:30a-7p.
Req Exp: 2 yrs of PTA experience with 1 year in the acute care environment
Pref Exp: Familiarity in working with pt in a fast paced hospital setting, ICU exp, working with diverse pt populations, EPIC
Req Certs: MA PTA licensure, CPR
Dept Details: IP Rehab is made up of PT and OT. We provide coverage throughout IP floors. Pt seen include birth - elderly, can have varying impairments related to musculoskeletal, neuro, cardiopulmonary, & post-surgical diagnoses. Must be familiar with the acute care hospital setting, have excellent pt handling skills & transfer techniques, good communicator, comfortable working with other members of the team (i.e. nursing, MD, Case management), strong time management skills, self-directed, flexible & able to multitask. Goal productivity is 6 hours in an 8-hour day. Assistants usually manage a patient list of 8-10 pt and are usually able to see between 7-9 pt.

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
