OVERVIEW
C Speed is looking for an experienced, motivated individual to fill the role of TARS Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) Engineer to support the DHS Customs & Border Protection Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) program. The TARS program leverages aerostat systems to provide persistent surveillance, detection capabilities, to our U.S. Government customer. We have several opportunities providing Operations and Sustainment (O&S) support for TARS along the US Southern border in multiple locations including Puerto Rico, Florida, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.
The RAM Engineer will manage the TARS program product structure. Due to the variety of the work products, the successful candidate will need a flexible and adaptable skill set, with a strong learning orientation. The candidate must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and collaborate with the engineering team to define RAM requirements.
POSITION SUMMARY
The ideal candidate will have specific experience performing the following:
• Perform Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) analysis methods, including reliability predictions and allocations, mission reliability analysis (MTBF), failure modes, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA), maintainability analyses (MTTR), and maintenance task analysis (MTAs).
• Develop and maintain program R&M Analytical processes. Develop and maintain system reliability and availability models.
• Develop and execute DMSMS process plan and coordinate DMSMS mitigations in support of program sustainment needs. Manage Risks and Opportunities associated with DMSMS activities.
• Analyze technical and obsolescence data such as Bill of Material (BOM) and other industry reports, as well as inventory management and coordination, to identify potential impacts to a program.
• Coordinate with varying System Engineering and Integration (SEI) team and customer groups (SW Engineering, Supply Chain Management, PM, etc.).
• Support failure Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and support corrective action activities.
• Support engineering change activities (ECOs/ ECPs). Review and analyze engineering change technical data and support coordinated changes with Engineering, Quality, Support, Manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Required
• Experience with Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability products and tasks.
• Experience with DMSMS Mitigation.
• Experience with developing R&M allocations & predictions models and creating FMEA / FMECA.
• Ability to obtain Secret clearance.
• Experience in representing Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability and sustainment program strategies and concepts.
• Self-starter with demonstrated communication skills.
• Expertise with Microsoft Office, to include PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Access.
Preferred
• Experience with AVCOM DMSMS Subscription Service.
• Experience writing RAM procedures.
• Experience in Systems Engineering disciplines with understanding of the total lifecycle (architecture, requirements, design, analysis, integration, verification, production and sustainment) including the following key competencies: Sustaining Engineering and Configuration Management.
• Information EAMs experience.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• BS/BA in relevant field of study required. Additional experience can supersede degree requirement.
• 5 years of applicable experience in the areas of RAM and Integrated Logistics Support.
