Warehouse Supervisor
Location: Greensboro, NC

Overview:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and directing activities to receive inbound deliveries. They ensure that all inbound operations are managed in an effective manner. They complete various management, organizational, and planning tasks to maintain high performance of the warehouse. Their duties include mentoring and training employees as well as building strong relationships with their teams. They need to ensure that their teams are working in a safe, accurate, efficient, and productive manner.
Responsibilities:
- Understands and can perform each job within the receiving area and warehouse
- Provides direct supervision to receiving and warehouse personnel
- Develops and implements receiving work schedules and assignments
- Ensures the safe, clean and efficient operation of the warehouse to meet service standards
- Assists in developing a program to train and motivate personnel for increased effectiveness
- Makes recommendations to the Warehouse Manager on programs to improve warehouse operations
- Directs the operations of the warehouse personnel to achieve prescribed objectives
- Develops and maintains a productive staff by creating programs for hiring, training and professional development
- Matches the skill and background of personnel to work required
- Implement an appropriate performance evaluation system for recommending promotions, wage increases and termination
- Ensures that equipment is utilized in the most efficient manner
- Coordinate the maintenance of equipment with the Warehouse Manager
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Bilingual a plus
- Computer applications using MS office
- Computer applications experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
- Working knowledge of warehouse / mechanical equipment (Turret Truck, Reach Truck, Forklift, Order Picker)
- Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations and the willingness to become certified in one or more of these areas as necessary
