Duties
- Conduct individual and group training sessions for dogs of all ages and skill levels.
- Develop customized training programs based on the specific needs of each dog and owner.
- Utilize positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors.
- Provide guidance to dog owners on effective training methods and ongoing care.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all animals during training sessions.
- Maintain accurate records of each dog's progress and any behavioral concerns.
- Assist with animal restraint when necessary, ensuring humane handling at all times.
- Collaborate with other staff members to provide comprehensive pet care services.
- Engage in customer service interactions, addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in dog training, with knowledge of various training methods.
- Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and safety protocols.
- Background in pet grooming or veterinary technician work is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for handling larger breeds or equipment.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience working in a kennel or similar environment is advantageous.
- Previous experience in pet sitting or general pet care is beneficial.
- A genuine passion for animal care and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- At least 1 year professionally training
