Job Summary:
Campbell & Associates, Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Survey Drafter to join our team. The Survey Drafter will be responsible for preparing accurate and professional survey drawings, plats, and maps using CAD software. This position plays a critical role in supporting our surveyors and engineers by converting field data into clear, precise, and compliant drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare survey plats, ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD, Carlson Software preferred).
- Interpret field notes, sketches, and electronic data collected by field crews to produce detailed survey drawings.
- Work closely with surveyors and project managers to ensure accuracy and adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing title reports, easements, and legal descriptions to create accurate representations of surveyed properties.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation for survey projects.
- Update and revise drawings based on feedback from surveyors, engineers, and clients.
- Ensure survey drawings meet company and industry standards.
- Collaborate with field and office staff to resolve discrepancies in survey data.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or certification in Drafting, Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 1 years (required).
- Experience in land surveying or civil engineering drafting is preferred.
- Understanding of survey principles, coordinate systems, and legal descriptions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GIS software and survey data processing software.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal land surveying regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret deeds, plats, and construction plans.
