AEDC Propulsion Test Analyst - Rockets

Job Title: Propulsion Test Analyst - Rockets

Location: Arnold AFB, TN - Tullahoma, TN (On-site)

Canvas is seeking a Propulsion Test Analyst to support our TMAS II AEDC contract! This position is to provide assistance and advisory services to the DoD.

Duties:

• Provide technical data analysis support to the AEDC Propulsion Branch in test and evaluation (T&E) activities primarily for J-6 Rocket Test programs.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to develop test plans, test advanced rocket engines, perform post-test analysis, and author technical reports.
• Advise the Air Force modifications or upgrades to test infrastructure to provide
• Provide critical system performance analysis to our Air Force customer using data reduction models and other physics-based simulation tools.
• Communicate and coordinate with test customer and test support team members (test manager, facility engineers, instrumentation, security, safety, etc.) that support preparation and execution of test.
• Maintain cognizance of all assigned Propulsion Branch/Test Team engineering activities.
• Provide technical support during planning, developing test requirements, test buildup and test activities.
• Support post-test data analysis and reviews and develop technical test reports.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering field (Aerospace or Mechanical preferred).
• 1-5 years in relevant work experience; 6 years of applicable experience or 4 years applicable experience plus an Associates degree.
• Work is timely, efficient and of acceptable quality. Completed work meets project/program objectives.
• Personal and organizational interactions exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork, enhance customer relations, and actively promote rapport with customers.
• Must be self-motivated and detail oriented.
• Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level.
• Utilize resources effectively to accomplish mission, including ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.
• Ability to respond positively and flexibly to significant changes in test focus or direction.
• Focused adherence to safety and security requirements.
• Familiarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies. (desired)
• Familiarity with ground test conduct, data analysis/evaluation, modeling and simulation, technical report preparation, and administrative aspects of ground and flight test programs. (desired)

Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Other Essential Job Functions: May be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
